PM Modi to visit Gujarat tomorrow after aerial inspection of three hurricane-affected districts

Prime Minister Modi is coming to Gujarat tomorrow. PM Modi will conduct aerial inspections of hurricane affected areas.

Prime Minister Modi is coming to Gujarat tomorrow. Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Bhavnagar from New Delhi around 11.30 am tomorrow.


The Prime Minister will conduct an aerial survey of the damage caused by the helicopter to Bhavnagar, Amreli and Gir Somnath. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold a meeting with officials after the aerial survey.

Taukate the day of the hurricane  devastation  after Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was addressing a press conference. The Chief Minister said that power supply has been disrupted in many places in Gujarat. Power supply was disrupted in 5951 villages. Out of this, electricity has been restored in 2101 villages. Power supply is in operation in 3850 villages. 5 substations of 220kv were affected. Out of which 1 substation has been started. While 4 is in operation. 165 substations of 66kv were affected. Of which 68 have resumed. About 950 teams are engaged in power supply operations.

Thousands of pillars collapsed 69,429 power poles are broken. The government has more than 81,000 pillars ready. Out of 425 Kovid hospitals in Saurashtra, 122 hospitals were in the affected area and the power supply was affected. Out of which, power supply has been restored in 83 Kovid hospitals. Work is underway to resume power supply to 39 hospitals. 674 roads were closed. Of these, 562 roads have been reopened and 112 are being rehabilitated.
