Madhya Pradesh cops dish out ‘I’m patriot’ badges for vaccinated individuals

The police in Madhya Pradesh has began “honouring” those that have obtained the Covid jab, whereas pasting warning posters on those that are but to be inoculated.

In a video shared by information company ANI, police from the Niwari district have been seen pinning a badge that claims, “I’m a patriot as I’m vaccinated” on commuters who’ve taken the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We’re honouring those that have taken the jab, and telling those that haven’t, to get vaccinated,” a cop is heard saying. “Inform individuals I’ve been vaccinated, which is why I’ve been felicitated,” he instructed one bike rider.

Those that haven’t been vaccinated but have been made to put on a poster which says, “Steer clear of me as I’m not vaccinated but.”

A number of netizens reacting to the video mentioned that scarcity of vaccines might be one of many the explanation why most haven’t gotten the Covid jab.

Earlier, a sub-inspector in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district was seen “punishing” lockdown violators by making them write the title for Lord Ram for 30-45 minutes and counselling them to remain at dwelling and care for their households.

“We might earlier make them do sit-ups or make them sit for 45 minutes to an hour earlier than permitting them to go, so, I simply thought that they will as an alternative write the title of Lord Ram for so long as they’re comfy as punishment earlier than letting them go,” sub-inspector Santosh Singh mentioned.
