The Lanka Premier League (LPL) T20 event’s second version shall be held between July 30 to August 22, Sri Lanka Cricket introduced on Tuesday.
“SLC needs to reiterate that the second version of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) shall be held throughout July and August 2021, as earlier introduced. Accordingly, the event shall be held from 30th July to 22nd August 2021,” mentioned an SLC assertion on Tuesday.
The 2021 version shall be held in a bio-secure atmosphere as Covid-19 instances proceed to rise within the island nation.

The inaugural version of LPL, which is Sri Lanka’s prime home T20 league and consists of worldwide cricketers, was performed in 2020 in Hambantota. There have been 5 groups within the event. It was gained by Jaffna Stallions, who defeated Galle Gladiators by 4 wickets within the remaining.
Three Indian cricketers have been a part of the primary version of LPL. They have been former India pacers Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel and Sudeep Tyagi.
