Japan lawmaker charged with drug trafficking in China
CHINA - The Guangzhou Intermediate People's Procuratorate confirmed on Wednesday that it is filing charges against a Japanese legislator for allegedly smuggling drugs.A court date has yet to be determined for Takuma Sakuragi, 70, a member of the Inazawa municipal assembly in Aichi Prefecture, said a public prosecutor with the Guangzhou Intermediate People's Procuratorate.The prosecutor did not reveal details about Sakuragi's case because judicial procedures are under way.
